Quattro Plant are looking for Heavy Plant Fitters for the Lichfield, Manchester and Stratford offices.



Road Sweeper Operator

Fareham,  Hatfield & Liverton

Quattro Plant Ltd  require an additional Road Sweeper Operator based out of our Fareham,  Liverton, Rochester & Stratford depots. The role requires the operator to carry out cleansing operations using the plant and equipment supplied in a safe and responsible manner.  Applicants must hold a class 2 licence, have good verbal communication skills and a customer focused approach.  CSCS Road Sweeper and Gully Sucker competence is also desirable but not essential.


Training & Sentinel Co-ordinator

Stratford, Head Office


To be responsible for the Company maintaining a well-trained, competent and accredited workforce to meet the needs of our Clients and the business. To ensure all operators, track-side, civils and transport personnel hold the appropriate competencies as appropriate for their role and are legally compliant. To ensure compliance with all standards as set out by NR and NSARE not limited to but specifically the Sentinel Scheme Rules. To provide occasional operational cover for HR as required.


• Interface with the Assurance and Compliance personnel and trainers to specify and commission appropriate training courses to ensure workforce compliance for all rail, road and civils activity

• Be responsible for ensuring that training is delivered in a timely, cost-effective manner and that it is fit for purpose

• Raise any risks associated with training and compliance to the Company management and make recommendations for mitigation

• Receive, record and act on any training enquiries, dealing with them in a timely manner

• Monitor and act on any feedback from Clients relating to the Company’s operators on contracts as appropriate

• Ensure that Drugs, Alcohol and Medical screening for employees is undertaken as required

• Ensure that appropriate pre-employment checks have been carried out

• Provision and control of Sentinel Smart Cards

• Ensure inductions are conducted for all staff and recorded on training and competence files

• Assist Assurance and Compliance personnel with the distribution and return of briefings, rule book updates and Sentinel Scheme Rule updates

• Ensure that all training and assessment records/electronic skills matrices are kept up to date regularly

• Manage all requests for the use of primary sponsored staff by their sub-sponsors in accordance with the management procedures

• Prepare for and participate in audits of the Company’s training and compliance

• Review expiry dates of Personal Track Safety, LUCAS, Track Accustomed and Medical certificates and notifying personnel of arrangements for re-examination or assessment

• Raise any non-conformity or complaints as appropriate for consideration and appropriate action

• Analyse training and compliance trends and report as required

• Ensure HR and compliance data is maintained correctly in the Company management systems

• Cover other HR duties as required, e.g. disciplinary and grievance matters, queries from employees or managers

• Ensure HR records are maintained in an appropriate manner

• Other duties as may be required from time to time and as appropriate to the role

• Ensure compliance with RMP14 and the Sentinel Scheme Rules

Essential Skills

• Approachable and able to relate to people at all levels

• Good problem-solving skills

• Good oral, written and numeracy skills

• Fully computer literate (Microsoft Office suite)

• Committed to delivery and customer focused (internal and external)

Desirable Skills

• CIPD qualification

• Knowledge of competence requirements for the rail industry

•Ability to advise managers in best-practice HR

• Experience in Construction/Rail working environments
