West Ham United and Community Links kick off Quattro Christmas

26/11/2019

The Community Links’ Christmas Toy Appeal has kicked off once again this year, and the team have some handy festive helpers to give the project a real boost.

Players from West Ham FC joined the Community Links team at Grotto HQ, based at the Quattro Group head office in Stratford, and got hands on with wrapping some of the thousands of toys already collected.

Carlos Sanchez, Albian Ajeti and Goncarlo Cardoso got stuck in, sorting toys and wrestling with wrapping paper in a bid to work though the mountain of toys already donated. With a clear goal in mind, the team even lent a hand in cherry picking some gifts for individual children.

The Christmas Toy Appeal works to provide a Christmas present to some of the most vulnerable children in the local area, making sure that over 2,000 children, aged from two months to 16 years, wake up to a gift on Christmas morning. As well as providing gifts, for over 40 years the organisation has also provided food hampers of festive fare, making sure there no home goes without during the holiday period.

‘We are delighted to support the project again this year, and are always amazed at the incredible work that the Community Links team put in to make the project such a roaring success,’ said John Murphy, Managing Director of Quattro Group.
